Their outer layer is made of agate, while the inner cavity is often filled with small quartz crystals, known as druzy. The color of these geodes can vary, with common shades including red, gray, black, blue, or white. History and use In the 1970s, Tabasco geodes were very popular in jewelry making, often used as pendants or earrings. Over time, they became rare and almost disappeared from the market. In 2018, new deposits were discovered, leading to their return to the market.
