The total mass of the meteorite is 10 kg and consists of five identical fragments. Unique composition and classification This meteorite is exceptional in its composition and does not match any known group of pallasites. Hassi el Biod 002 has a unique olivine and oxygen isotope composition, which distinguishes it among known pallasites. Comparison with the Milton meteorite Together with the Milton meteorite from Missouri, it belongs to a rare group of pallasites that do not contain pyroxene. However, no genetic link between them has been demonstrated, as they differ in both olivine composition and oxygen isotopes.
