The Besednice Jezkovna locality is one of the most famous Moldavite locations. Moldavites from Jezkovna are renowned for their unique, hedgehog-like sculpting, often featuring spikes or thorns, which is why they are called 'hedgehogs'. These unique shapes were created by natural erosion processes and give these Moldavites a distinctive appearance that makes them so popular with collectors. Due to their structure, Moldavites from Besednice Jezkovna are considered the most beautiful tektites in the world. Moldavites from this locality are generally small, with pieces over 10 grams being rare and those over 20 grams extremely rare. The locality itself is also relatively small, measuring approximately 250 meters in length and a maximum of 80 meters in width. Current situation Jezkovna is now a closed and strictly protected area that has been declared a natural monument.
