Unlike classic Agates, it usually does not show the typical banding, but is characterized by the presence of dendritic inclusions that resemble moss or tree branches. These patterns are not organic in origin but come from iron and manganese oxides. Moss Agate is most commonly found in translucent or milky white hues with green, brown, black, or red inclusions. Its hardness on the Mohs scale is between 6.5 and 7, equivalent to that of common quartz. It has a waxy to dull luster and is semi-transparent or translucent. Important Moss Agate deposits are found in India, Brazil, the United States (especially Montana, Oregon, and Idaho), Madagascar, and Russia.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"PeltramMinerals","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58028134891845,"sku":"MECH123","price":18.1,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0881\/1659\/2965\/files\/47336_photoroom-000-20250620-144229.jpg?v=1779380635","url":"https:\/\/moldavite.it\/en\/products\/moos-agate-plate-west-java-indonesia-mech123","provider":"Moldavite.it","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
